Match labels to your printer
Start with the model number on your printer, then compare media dimensions, print method, and roll handling.
Identify the model
Use the complete model name from the printer housing or its settings screen. A similar series name can cover models that require different rolls. Search the catalog by model or the part number printed on your current box.
Match the printing method
Direct thermal stock changes color under the print head. Thermal transfer printing uses a ribbon. For inkjet and laser sheet printers, check the inkjet or laser indicator for the material you select.
Check the media path
Compare label width and height, core diameter, outer diameter, gap or mark sensing, winding direction, and the number of labels across the liner. Fanfold stock feeds from a stack instead of a roll holder.
Check label recognition
DYMO LabelWriter 550 series and 5XL printers require authentic DYMO media with automatic label recognition. Choose the OEM listing for those models. For other printers, confirm the complete model in the compatibility list.
